PCUSA, supports three Crisis Nurseries in
Lusaka, Zambia ($7,000); supports Ted and Sue Wright, who
serve as missionaries in Zambia ($5,000); the Namumu
Orphanage ($6,000) and for
the new Siavonga Presbyterian Church ($7,000)
Haiti Education Foundation,
Inc...........................$20,000
In 1999, our congregation provided funds to
build a school in Haiti. This year we will
continue funding 363 scholarships at a cost of
$55 per year for each student.
Congo Protestant
University.................................$8,000
The University has added a much needed
medical school to their professional
departments. The first group of students have
now completed their pre-med training. FPC
will help support these students with Medical
School Scholarships ($4,500) and Medical School
Equipment ($4,500).
Wycliffe Bible
Translators.....................................$5,000
By their strategic involvement in Bible
translation, we have the opportunity to impact
entire people groups. Three areas of the world
have greatest need for Bible translation: Central,
East and Southeast Asia; the Pacific Archipelago
including Indonesia, New Guinea and Central Africa. We are please to provide support for
missionaries Rex and Jean Lieffers ($2,500) and Glen and Beverly Ferguson,
serving with Jungle
Aviation and Radio Service ($2,500).
Rivers of the
World
...........................................$10,000
ROW is an international exploration and
development agency which targets remote river
basins. This year our contribution to ROW will
target the evangelistic work being done along the
Amazon River. This mission includes medical supplies
as well as the computerized "talking" Bibles and
other badly needed supplies.
Son
Servants.......................................................$5,000
Since its beginning in 1982, Son Servants has
provided opportunities for youth and adults to
experience short-term mission trips, both inside and
outside the United States. Son Servants'aim is to
provide quality experiences that can be carried back
to the local church and, with God's help, into a
lifetime of service. Our donation supports these
goals.
Solid Rock
Missions..............................................$6,000
Solid Rock Missions is the sponsoring
non-profit agency that
coordinates the volunteers from FPC and other
churches and
medical groups who take mission trips to the region
of San Juan
de la Maguana of the Dominican Republic. The funds
are used
to support the operation of a medical and surgical
clinic, outpatient clinics and two Christian
schools.
Erin Hartley.................................................................$4,500
Erin is the daughter of FPC members Phil and Lisa
Hartley and
Lesa Ellard. She is associated with Works of Love,
Inc., a nonprofit, charitable corporation whose
activities are intentionally
structured in accordance with the life and teachings

required to raise
all her financial needs through family and friends.

needs through family and friends.

Dean of
Students at Foreman Christian College in Lahore,
Pakistan, a
mission of the PCUSA. Cheryl also assists in the
Chapel program,
serving 700 Christian students and teaching Bible
studies. She
does not receive an income from the college, but she
raises all
her financial needs through family, friends and
churches.
