Rev. Paul Evans

Paul Evans has served the congregation of First Presbyterian Church since 1986. He joined the staff first as Director of Youth Ministries and in 1992 became Associate Pastor. Paul is a graduate of Belhaven College and Columbia Theological Seminary.

Paul's current responsibilities include overseeing the adult Christian education program and providing leadership for the church's Bereavement and Stephen Ministries, as well as the Senior Adult Ministry. He is also very involved in worship preparation and serves as the primary liturgist for worship services.

Additionally, Paul serves the Synod of the South Atlantic as chair of the board for the Career Development Center of the Southeast and is a member of our local presbytery's Committee on the Preparation of Ministers.

Paul and his wife Karen moved to Gainesville from Yazoo City, Mississippi.
