The Reverend Cliff Rigby

Cliff Rigby is a graduate of Millsaps College (B.A.) and Columbia Theological Seminary (M.Div.). He spent 1956-60 in the USAF(SAC) leaving to enter seminary for preparation to become a minister in the Presbyterian Church, U.S.A.
After two pastorates, he entered Clinical Pastoral Education at Georgia Mental Health Institute and spent two years there in clinical training. He and his family then moved to Gainesville in 1971 where he began work as the Chaplain and Substance Abuse Coordinator/Counselor at the Mental Health Center. That same year he began supplying pulpits at Presbyterian Churches in the Northeast Georgia area and continued this ministry until 2001. During this time he also became the Area Coordinator for mental health, substance abuse and developmental disability services for the State of Georgia until retirement in 1992. He worked for the Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center in 1994 through 1998 as Chaplain and Volunteer Coordinator.
Cliff came on board at FPC in Sept. 2002 as Coordinator of Stephen Ministries. His wife, Dottie, daughters, Tracy and Perin, and their families have been active in FPC since joining in 1971. They have five grandchildren who are all members of FPC
two in college, one active in the youth program and one
in elementary school Cliff and Dottie are both trained Stephen Leaders and Cliff is also a trained Christ Care Equipper. They love working for and with the folks in FPC as their ministry for Christ.
